Beba and Jah-Jah

Just a few more Bella-isms to brighten your day.  Bella calls herself Beba, and Elijah is Jah-Jah, hence the title of this post.  Bella has gotten very attached to the song, Happy Birthday.  You know the one, it's sung at every birthday party to the guest of honor....ringing a bell?  Yeah, well, around here, we sing it just for fun, to pretty much everyone we know.  Here's how it goes (Beba's version!):

Happ-y Happ-y to to!
Happ-y Happ-y to to!
Happ-y to to to.....(insert name here)!
Yay!  (with clapping)

Bella loves to sing it to Elijah, Grandma and Grandpa, Erika, Shawn, Mommy, Daddy, and of course, herself.  If I try to sing with her,she usually tells me, "no, Beba's turn!"  But I can still cheer at the end with her!

Hope you have yourself a Happ-y Happ-y to to  today!

Look At Me Grow!

Bella is now almost 2 1/2 (in July) and when we ask her how old she is, she says "Two!" and shows us on her fingers-but she hasn't quite gotten the hang of holding up only two fingers.  Here is a picture of her showing me how old she is:
"I'm Two!"

Love that little girl so much!

Elijah (or as we call him, EJ) is also growing up fast.  He is now eating rice cereal (we had to wait until he was six months old due to allergy concerns).  He LOVES eating cereal!  He likes to hold the spoon himself.  We are going to try pears next-hopefully he will like them too:)

We also are having lots of fun with our playgroup.  Bella is able to do so much more at the playgrounds this summer.  This week we went to a park with a splash pad, which was a big hit!  Here are a few pics:

Having fun!

Watching his big sister:)

We had a perfect day for the park!  Hope you get to enjoy this nice weather too:)

5 Year Anniversary Celebration

Saturday, June 2nd was Matt and my 5 year wedding anniversary:)

Here's us on our wedding day:

Here's a picture of us 5 years later, on our anniversary:

So much has happened these past five years, including two houses, new jobs, health concerns and most importantly, two wonderful children!!

The Lord has blessed us these last 5 years!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary by spending the afternoon antiquing!  We both love antique shops (and searching for treasures at bargain prices), so it was the perfect afternoon adventure.  We visited five shops and didn't have much luck, but we did each find one little treasure.  Matt found an old hard shell suitcase that he will use for his pedal board for his electric guitar.  I found a glass punch bowl.  These may not seem that exciting to you, but we had a great time!  And we got great deals-the suitcase was $3.50, and the punch bowl was $1.50!

Wow, look at us bargain shopping!  We had a nice dinner out, then came home and watched a movie.  What a perfect, low key anniversary celebration.

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband Matthew!  I love you more than words can express.  I pray for many more years of happiness and celebrations together:)

Cheers to you and yours!
